| This past weekend was awesome. I went back to Massachusetts for the Labor Day weekend. It was great to see my family and be home for a couple days.
I got into Boston late Friday night and went home. On Saturday I got to go skeet shooting with my dad and then at night I went into Boston to visit Sarah. We went to this tiny Irish pub and had a few "refreshments." I never realized how fun of a city Boston is for young people. It was great to get to see Sarah and meet a couple of her friends. I kind of got stranded in Boston, because I didnt realize the subways shut down at 12:30. But I managed to deal with it allright.
I had fun in Boston and I would like to go back sometime soon to really enjoy the night life there. But, I'm glad I'm back home....
Until then... | | |
| I haven't been doing a very good job of updating this thing, but here's another entry...
During the week, I pretty much have no life whatsoever. I leave my apartment around 6:30 AM and don't get back until about 7:00 PM. So during the week I don't have a lot of time or energy to do anything else but work. Honestly though it's not as bad as it sounds. I'm still managing to have a good time here.
I'm actually starting to feel like I'm completely independent and all grown up. In college most people, including myself, thought they were grown up and independent because they lived away from home even though their parents still support them. My parents don't give me a dime, and it actually feels good. Dont get me wrong I enjoy getting money, but its a really good feeling to know that you can support yourself financially 100%.
The past few weeks have been pretty boring. But this past week has been awesome. I met someone really cool at work the other day, which was a great surprise considering I haven't really met a whole lot of people since I moved here.
I'll be back in Waco on Friday. I only plan on staying the night and probably leaving that afternoon. I'm gonna get my haircut while I'm down there and see some friends who I haven't seen in a while.
Hope everyone is doing well, even though summer is over. See ya later...
| Its time for another update...
This past week was very long and tiring, but it ended really well. We finally got to go to a "happy hour" with one of our corporate accounts, which was a lot of fun. Basically we all get to go to a bar, enjoy some "refreshments" and the company pays for it. It was a really fun night with a great story to tell.
This weekend I helped a friend move into a new apartment in Houston. It was a long day, but we got most of the apartment settled which was awesome!
I went to the new IKEA today which was pretty cool. Getting into the place was like going to Disney World. It was really nice though....
| I just realized I havent looked at this thing in a while. Not much else has been going on except work. Last week our area had a happy hour and we all got to go drink on the company's tab which was nice and we have another one tomorrow with one of our accounts.
I'm going back to Massachusetts on Labor Day weekend to see my family. I haven't been back "home" since Christmas, so it will be nice to see everyone again. So, if for some weird reason any of you are in Mass. that weekend (and i can only think of maybe 3 people who would be) then let me know, I'll buy you a drink.
I finally met my neighbors this morning. I didn't have to be at work until noon today, so i went down to the pool this morning and they were there.
Yeah, it hasnt exactly been too exciting, but I have a feeling this is going to be a good weekend. See ya later
| I'm bored again, so here's another entry...
As usual I didn't do a whole lot this weekend. I had to go back to Waco this weekend to cancel my Gold's Gym membership because unfortunately it doesn't transfer to the one here. I got into Waco on Friday night shortly before midnight. Unfortunately, everyone was all ready out having fun and by the time I called some people most people were out. So I didn't really get to see anyone. I came back here on Saturday morning after taking care of Gold's.
I did get to see Cara this weekend which was great cuz I hadn't seen her since last August. We only got to have lunch but it was great getting to see her again and catch up.
Today I didn't do a whole lot. I went to church this morning and then went to go see Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. It's somewhat different than the first movie, its the same plot line and mostly the same characters, but the personalities are different. I enjoyed it though and thought Johnny Depp did a great job playing Wonka.
Thankfully I have been working a whole lot. Corporate America is very different than college. But, it's a nice change of pace that I think I will enjoy. Still haven't met a whole lot of people up here yet, but next week the church is having some new person orientation that I think I will go to. I was told that it's a really good way to meet new people and get plugged in.
Everyone have a good week...
